RESEARCH FEATURE: Learning from UK Multi‑Academy Trusts: Insights from an ISQ Study Tour

Australian schools are facing increasing complexity driven by rising community expectations, diverse student needs and sustained workforce pressures.

In this article, Anjulee Singh, Independent Schools Queensland (ISQ) Education Services Deputy Director, and Yvonne Ries, ISQ Education & School Services Director, examine the concept of Multi‑School Organisations (MSOs) as a potential approach to strengthening improvement across groups of schools, drawing on evidence from the Grattan Institute’s Spreading Success report and insights from Independent Schools Queensland’s 2025 UK study tour.
